Hybrid dryers

The unique combination of refrigeration and adsorption drying technologies provides high-quality compressed air to the end user with low energy consumption. In this drying process, untreated humid compressed air passes through a pre-filter that protects a traditional refrigeration circuit with slight modifications. In this phase, most of the water vapour in the incoming air is effectively removed. The second phase consists of drying using a highly compact desiccant, protected before and after by high-performance particle and oil/water mist removal filters, which serves to further reduce the moisture content of the air to a standard dew point of -40 °C. Finally, the clean, dry compressed air exits through the patented air/air heat exchanger, is reheated and supplied to the air distribution system. The main advantages over other compressed air drying technologies are its low energy consumption and overall reduction in operating costs. Reduced overall energy consumption and purge air consumption, constant and stable outlet pressure dew points, and reduced operating and maintenance costs are attributes unique to this range of CompAir dryers.
