Claw pumps

Elmo Rietschle Series C dry-running claw vacuum pumps generate vacuum efficiently and economically without contact. They are based on the principle of internal compression in the rotating claw design. The gas is pre-compressed in the compression chamber and then discharged. Elmo Rietschle dry-running claw pumps offer significant energy savings and high efficiency compared to conventional rotary lobe blower designs without internal compression. The claws of the C Series are optimally shaped and rotate together without contact, synchronised by a high-precision gear set. Compression takes place dry and without wear. Special seals separate the compression chamber and the gearbox. The claw rotors control the transport of the medium by opening and closing the inlet and outlet channels. This system eliminates the need for a sealing fluid inside the compression chamber. Explosion-proof versions with reduced leakage are available, as well as vacuum pumps that comply with ATEX regulations.
